Znaczenie doświadczenia w wychowaniu w postulatach pedagogiki pragmatyzmu jest powszechnie znane. Wiele miejsca tej problematyce poświęcił John Dewey. Celem artykułu jest odpowiedź na pytanie o ograniczenia w wykorzystywaniu doświadczenia w procesie wychowania. Odpowiedź na to pytanie jest wpisana w epistemologiczne zagadnienie relacji między doświadczeniem a teorią. W pierwszym punkcie są przywołane najważniejsze kwestie dotyczące pojęć doświadczenia, demokracji i wartości w wychowaniu. Human Nature and Economic Institutions Instinct Psychology, Behaviorism and the Development of American Institutionalism

This paper explores the evolution of the psychological foundation of institutional economics between the early XXc and the 1940s. The first part deals with the rise and fall of instinct psychology. Inspired by Veblen's taxonomy of instinctive behavior, several American economists attempted to build a viable alternative to psychological hedonism of neoclassical economics then only at its infancy. In this debate we show how instinct theory came to be applied to the field now as industrial psychology. Els autors defensen que el costum i la llei confi guren la legalitat i la moralitat socials i determinen el nostre comportament, alhora que qüestionen els resultats 'esperats' de l'aplicació mecànica dels premis i càstigs en educació.
